It is very important to retain the level of sugar in your blood. High sugar leads to diabetes. Diabetes is of two types. Diabetic conditions are also known as hyperglycemia. Diabetes if not maintained can results in some diseases including high blood pressure, heart diseases and in some cases can be lethal too! But, nature has solutions and remedies to all problems and diseases and so here are some foods that can help you fight with high sugar levels in your blood.
1. Spices
Blood Sugar Benefit: Spices such as turmeric are diabetes killer! It prevents from diabetes complications by lowering blood sugar as well as cholesterol level having antioxidant properties.
According to a study carried out in 2005 which is then published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, spices are great in improving the rate and metabolism of cholesterol as well as glucose. Spices reduce insulin level resulting in low blood glucose levels. It contains curcumin that is a bioactive compound and helps from hyperglycemic conditions.
2. Vinegar
Blood Sugar Benefit: It is also one of the most available product in our kitchen’s cabinet. It reduces insulin level and glucose spikes that result after a meal, especially in type 2 diabetes. These complications can be too severe even to cause heart diseases. Taking 2 tablespoons can work well.
Many researches are being done on vinegar as it is a great cheap source BUT be aware of balsamic it contains more sugar. You can go for apple cider vinegar. An Arizona State University study found that people who started a meal with a vinegar drink enjoyed better blood sugar and insulin profiles following the meal.

Vinegar have any side effect?
Chia seeds mixed with smoothies and juices are great. Put chia seeds after soaking in water in jellies before it sets or hardened. In cereals and in milk. If you cannot take it as it is…. soak it and mix it with your favorite drink.
